Translations of the Earliest Alphabetic Inscriptions

“Junk in, Junk out.” This statement from software engineering reminds us that history is only as good as its source materials. This is where religious history often fails. The translations of its sources are often flawed due to bias. What follows are the first fairly accurate translations of the earliest alphabetic inscriptions which have been found by archaeologists in and around Israel. These provide an independent check on the Biblical record and they show an early Levant much different than expected.
